Member of Parliament for Beauséjour
First elected in 2000 and re-elected five times since, The Honourable Dominic LeBlanc has represented the riding of Beauséjour for 18 years. He is currently the Minister of Intergovernmental and Northern Affairs and Internal Trade.
Mr. LeBlanc’s portfolio is extensive, having served as a Senior Advisor to former Prime Minister Jean Chrétien, chair of the Atlantic Caucus, Deputy Chief Government Whip and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of National Defense.
Before entering politics, Mr. LeBlanc attended the University of New Brunswick and later Harvard Law School, before beginning a career as a lawyer with Clark Drummie in Shediac and Moncton, NB.
Dominic is a proud Acadian and is married to Jolène Richard, a Judge of the Provincial Court of New Brunswick.
